long update

mood: tired tired

Whoa, I haven't posted in forever.
A lot of stuff is going on lately:

- Krystal and I are going to look at an apartment next week, and it's exciting. I can't wait. We might be considering getting a two bedroom and having a roomate. You have to be neat and all that good stuff, let me know if you are interested.

- I designed belt buckles this week. First time I've ever done that. Pretty awesome. Check out the printer, they do quality work. - www.milestogobelts.com

- A lot of drama has been going down with my hosting company. Nothing between the company and I, but a lot of their old and current clients and employees are filing bad claims against them and even suing. Bad bad bad. Looks like I'm going to be looking for new hosting. The price was so right with these dudes, too. So if anyone out there wants to host me for free, let me know. In exchange,
I will refer all of my clients to you
, when I do websites. Check out the portfolio - www.nobodysfamousdesigns.com

- Adrastos is out of this world. Check out their e.p. online - www.purevolume.com/adrastos. Seriously, check it out. Chances are I have never steered you wrong. I should be working on some merch and maybe a website for these dudes soon.

- As soon as the check comes in the mail, I'll be working on some shirts for a metal band from California. I'm pretty excited, I never work for heavy bands anymore. This band actually isn't bad, either.

- Speaking of artwork, check out my portfolio site - www.nobodysfamousdesigns.com. I added a handful of new artwork the other day, some that I am really happy with. I still need to add some of the other print work I have done (Clandestine Industries Alternative Press ad, Days Away ep, Kid Innocence ep, etc.). I'm really happy with some of the shirts I've done lately. Most noteably, the Kid Innocence building shirt, FeversInTheForest tree shirt, and the Suicide Pact hand holding shirt).

- Krystal rules and I love her.

- George moved and it is a real bummer. I miss him already.

I don't really know what else to talk about. Here's what I've been into lately.
www.myspace.com/jimmyeatworld - duh. www.myspace.com/adrastos - the chorus in the first song is so addictive. Elliot Smith - listen to Either/Or, it will change the way you look at things. Rocky Votolato - buy his new record, Makers. It is so good. Also, listen to Waxwing (members of Gatsbys American Dream and The Blood Brothers. Fronted by rocky Votolato. You'll love it.) Small Towns Burn A Little Slower
www.ebay.com, The OC, Sidekick II, New Anathallo song, unreleased New Amsterdams, new Brand New Demos, Plus-44, Kill Creek, This Day And Age, Miami Ink.

Alright awesome. I'm done for now. I'll probably be posted a lot of artwork sometime soon. Keep in touch. Leave some comments, IM me (summerwarr) or email me (justinryan@nobodysfamousdesigns.com) or add me on micepace (myspace.com/justinryan).

it's that time of the year again

here is my best of 2005 )

Last year, one of my last entries read "Hopefully, 2005 will be a good year for me. So far I know I will
launch Nobody's Famous Designs, go to Kansas to see The Get Up Kids,
and live life like it's going out of style."

i think i did a good job keeping up with all of that.
i launched nobodys famous designs and it was a big year for that. i did my first internationally published magazine ad for Clandestine Industries (Pete Wentz from fall out boy), which appeared in Alternative Press. the issue had NIRVANA on the cover. i also got a deal with an amazing hosting company, ChapterZero, who are hosting me for free. unlimited bandwidth and space.

i went to kansas to see the get up kids. it was amazing. many posts followed.

and i lived life like it was going out of style, for sure.

this year, i'm thankful for krystal, friends, family, art, music and life.

music: New Amsterdams - Full Thunder Moon (Demo)

hello internet
it's been a while. things have been pretty good. really good, actually. krystal and i got jobs a few weeks ago at walmart. she's still doing it, but i quit after a little over a week. it just wasn't for me, and one of the managers was rediculously rude to me. so, i wasn't having that. but the lady in personel is really nice and completely understood. she put me down as a rehire. so, if i ever wanted to work there again, i could.

it finaly snowed last week. i was super excited, because krystal has only really seen snow twice. we went out and had a snowball fight. she hit me right in the eye and it was awesome. i didn't get any pictures of the snow or us out in it, though.

christmas is coming up super fast and i don't think i'm ready yet. besides the regular christmas stress and financial problems, i'm really going to miss krystal. she's going home from the 18th to the 27th. it stinks that our first christmas together will be spent apart, but it's completely understandable.

i hung out with george a few times the past few days. he came over last weekf or a few hours to jam. we want to play at least one more acoustic show together. i guess it's not really feasable to expect that to happen before he leaves for school. he also came over last night. we hung out a bit and then went and picked up krystal from work. after that we all went to the mall. george and i went christmas shopping last year, so we decided to make it tradition. george and krystal get along and i'm really stoked on that. i consider him to be one of the best friends i've ever had and i'm just glad they can be friends, as well.

i don't really know what else to say right now. but i'd appreciate a comment or two. maybe if i ask a question to everyone, it will make it easier.

what, if anything, did you ask for for christmas?

p.s. if you haven't yet, go to http://plusfortyfour.com/ and check out the song that streams on the main page. it's great to hear marks voice again. and i really like this demo. listen to it all the way through before you decide if you like it or not. it really gets better and better as it goes on.

also, if you haven't listened to the new jimmy eat world ep yet WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN. this is the most refreshing ep to come out this year. you can check out the songs Over and Disintegration on their myspace (http://myspace.com/jimmyeatworld), so you have absolutely no excuse to not listen to them. if you hate the band, check this out. if you loved them, definitely check it out because you'll love it even more. i'd be more than happy to send the rest, including the song Closer, which has a monumental bridge, and the excellent Heatmiser cover, Half Right. let me know what you think.
